KEBA SC-102 is a dedicated safety control module for KEBA Kemro and KePlast injection molding control racks, widely installed on ENGEL injection molding machines for safety signal monitoring and safe motion control. It is responsible for safety interlock judgment, safe torque off and brake control of the machine, which is an important safety-related spare part of the whole control system.

This module collects dual-channel safety signals from safety doors, emergency stop buttons and safety limit switches. It independently judges the validity of safety signals according to the safety logic, and communicates with the main KEBA CPU through the Kemro backplane bus. When emergency stop or safety door opening is detected, it will quickly trigger the safety stop instruction, cut off the enable signal of hydraulic or servo drive, and control the mechanical brake action to prevent accidental movement of injection, ejection and other axes, avoiding mold collision and personal injury accidents.

It supports safety function diagnosis and status upload. Technicians can check safety channel status, fault codes and safety log records via KEBA engineering software. It has built-in dual redundant safety circuit and watchdog. If internal hardware failure or signal channel fault is detected, it will lock the safety state and output alarm prompt on the HMI. The circuit board adopts conformal coating treatment, with good vibration resistance and EMC performance, adapting to the dusty and high electromagnetic interference environment of plastic workshops.

It adopts standard plug-in rack installation structure and needs to match the corresponding Kemro backplane and control rack system. This model has been discontinued by KEBA factory, and it is mostly used for maintenance and spare replacement of old ENGEL injection molding machines. Replacing this module can restore the safety chain function of the machine without modifying the original safety wiring.
