KEBA PD-242/A is a rack plug-in power distribution module of KEBA Kemro K2 series control system, widely installed on ENGEL hydraulic injection molding control racks. It supplies and distributes multiple stable DC voltage outputs for CPU, I/O modules, hydraulic regulation boards and communication adapters inside the cabinet, including 24VDC, ±10V analog reference power supply required by proportional valve control circuits.

This module receives the main input power from the cabinet power supply, and divides it into multiple isolated branch power outputs for each slot on the Kemro backplane. It provides clean reference voltage for pressure sensor acquisition and proportional valve closed-loop regulation, which directly affects the stability of injection speed and holding pressure. It carries independent branch fuses and load monitoring for each output channel. If short-circuit or overload occurs on one branch, it will cut off that channel separately without powering down the whole control rack.

It adopts terminal block design with clear voltage marking, convenient for technicians to measure each output voltage and check load status during maintenance. The status indicator lights show power normal and fault alarm information intuitively. It matches the standard Kemro rack backplane, and can be replaced directly after power-off without modifying the machine wiring.

It integrates multi-level protection functions including over-current, short-circuit and over-temperature protection. When overheating or abnormal load is detected, it triggers alarm signal and cuts off output to protect the expensive CPU and hydraulic regulation modules. The circuit board is coated with conformal coating, with good vibration resistance and EMC performance to adapt to dusty and high-interference plastic workshop environment.

This model has been discontinued by KEBA, and most of the stock is used for maintenance and spare replacement of old ENGEL injection molding machines. Replacing this module can solve the problems of unstable reference voltage, no valve drive power and frequent power alarm of the control rack.
