KEBA FM265/A is a Profibus DP slave communication module belonging to KEBA KeConnect C2 and Kemro series, widely used on ENGEL injection molding machines and die-casting automation equipment. It serves as the protocol conversion gateway for connecting the KEBA main controller to Profibus DP peripheral devices, realizing cyclic process data exchange and acyclic parameter access between the control system and third-party slave stations.

This module connects to the CPU via the proprietary K-Bus backplane. It receives injection speed, holding pressure and sequence command data from the main controller, encapsulates the data into Profibus DP-V1 telegrams and sends them to field slave equipment such as remote I/O stations, valve amplifiers and MES data acquisition units. Meanwhile, it uploads sensor feedback values, equipment status and fault codes back to the KEBA CPU for closed-loop regulation and production data recording. The communication rate supports 9.6 kbit/s up to 12 Mbit/s, and the signal channel adopts galvanic isolation design to enhance anti-interference performance in noisy workshop environment.

It is equipped with front panel status LED indicators for bus communication status and fault diagnosis. Technicians can set Profibus station address, input/output data mapping and communication parameters via KEBA engineering software. The built-in bus watchdog continuously monitors data frame validity. If communication interruption, signal error or slave station failure is detected, it will feed back alarm information to the controller and trigger safety stop logic to avoid abnormal actions of hydraulic or servo axes. The circuit board adopts conformal coating treatment, with good vibration resistance and EMC performance, adapting to dusty plastic workshop conditions.

It adopts standard plug-in rack installation structure, matched with KeConnect C2 / Kemro K2 series backplane. It is a common maintenance spare part for mid-generation ENGEL injection molding machines. It can expand the Profibus network function without replacing the whole control rack.
