KEBA E-CPU-186 is an early generation main CPU control board for ENGEL injection molding machines equipped with KEBA control systems, a discontinued original controller spare board. It undertakes PLC logic operation, hydraulic sequence control, safety interlock processing and recipe storage as the core processing unit of the old KePlast control rack.

This board collects 24VDC discrete signals from limit switches and safety contact sensors, and analog feedback signals from pressure and displacement transducers. It executes fixed injection molding cycle logic and outputs control signals to drive hydraulic proportional valves and peripheral I/O modules, to realize clamping, injection, holding pressure and ejection sequence actions. It is a classic hardware widely used on old models of ENGEL injection machines.

It is equipped with serial and proprietary backplane bus interfaces for data communication with matching I/O boards and operator panels. It stores machine configuration parameters and fault event logs locally. Technicians can use the corresponding old version KEBA software to upload, download and back up machine parameters during maintenance.

It carries on-board watchdog and basic fault diagnosis circuits. It continuously monitors bus communication status and internal operating state. When communication abnormality or hardware fault is detected, it will trigger alarm signal and stop output to avoid mechanical collision. The circuit board is coated for protection against dust and moisture in the workshop environment.

It adopts plug-in rack structure and must be matched with the corresponding series backplane and supporting peripheral boards. Since this model has been phased out by the manufacturer, it is mostly used for equipment repair and spare part replacement of old ENGEL injection molding machines. Replacing this board can restore the whole control cabinet operation without replacing the complete control system.

It is widely used in plastic injection industry maintenance and retrofitting projects. It is a common and scarce replacement spare part for legacy KEBA control racks.
