KEBA E-CPU-186-C/16MHZ is an obsolete rack-mounted main CPU board of the early KEBA KePlast control system, specially configured with 16MHZ processor clock, widely used on old ENGEL injection molding machines. It acts as the core processing unit of the control rack, responsible for PLC logic operation, hydraulic sequence control, safety interlock judgment and production recipe storage.

This board collects 24VDC discrete feedback signals from safety gates, limit switches and proximity sensors, and 4-20mA analog signals from pressure and displacement transducers. It executes fixed molding cycle programs and outputs control instructions to matched KEBA I/O modules and hydraulic proportional valves, completing clamping, injection, holding pressure, plasticizing and ejection actions. Compared with the 12MHZ version, the 16MHZ model offers faster calculation speed and shorter cycle response for hydraulic closed-loop regulation.

It adopts proprietary backplane bus and serial communication interfaces for data interaction with supporting I/O boards and operator panels. Local non-volatile memory stores machine configuration parameters, molding recipes and historical alarm records. Maintenance technicians can use the matching old KEBA programming software to back up, restore and adjust machine parameters during commissioning and spare replacement.

It is equipped with watchdog circuit and basic hardware self-diagnosis mechanism. It continuously monitors bus communication status and internal running state. If communication interruption or hardware fault is detected, it will trigger alarm signal and cut off control output to avoid mold collision and mechanical damage. The circuit board is treated with conformal coating, featuring good vibration resistance and EMC performance to adapt to dusty and high electromagnetic interference plastic workshop environment.

It adopts standard plug-in rack installation structure and must be matched with the corresponding old backplane and peripheral I/O modules. KEBA has discontinued this model, it is mainly supplied as maintenance spare parts for vintage ENGEL injection machines.
