KEBA E-CPU-186/B-12MHZ is an early rack-mounted main CPU board of KEBA KePlast control system, specially equipped with 12MHZ processor, widely used on old ENGEL injection molding machines. It serves as the core processing unit to execute PLC logic, hydraulic sequence control, safety interlock judgment and recipe storage for the whole machine.

This board collects 24VDC discrete signals from safety gates, limit switches and proximity sensors, and analog feedback signals from pressure and displacement transducers. It runs solidified injection molding cycle logic and outputs control commands to hydraulic proportional valves and matched KEBA I/O modules, completing clamping, injection, holding pressure, plasticizing and ejection actions. The 12MHZ clock version is a fixed hardware variant of E-CPU-186/B series with stable timing performance for legacy hydraulic control tasks.

It adopts proprietary backplane bus and serial communication ports to exchange data with corresponding I/O boards and HMI panels. Local non-volatile memory stores machine configuration parameters, product recipes and historical alarm records. Maintenance technicians can use the matching old KEBA software to upload, download and back up program parameters for debugging and spare replacement.

It carries watchdog circuit and basic hardware self-diagnosis function. It continuously monitors bus communication status and internal operating state. When communication interruption or hardware abnormality is detected, it sends alarm signal and cuts off control output to avoid mold collision and mechanical damage. The circuit board is coated for dust and moisture resistance to adapt to the harsh environment of plastic workshops.

It is plug-in rack installation and must be matched with the supporting old series backplane and peripheral I/O modules. This model has been discontinued by KEBA factory, mostly used for maintenance, cabinet renovation and spare parts replacement of vintage ENGEL injection machines. Replacing this board can restore the whole control system without modifying the original wiring and peripheral hardware.
