KEBA DO242/A is an 8-channel galvanically isolated digital output module of KEBA KeConnect and Kemro K2 series, widely matched with ENGEL hydraulic injection molding machines and die-casting equipment. It is the revised A version of DO242 series, used to convert control commands issued by the master CPU into switching drive signals for on-site actuators such as hydraulic proportional valves, solenoid valves, contactors and indicator lamps. It undertakes the output drive of clamping, injection, holding pressure, plasticizing and ejection sequences, and it is a key I/O spare part to ensure the normal cycle action of injection molding equipment.

This module communicates with the CPU through the proprietary Kemro K-Bus backplane. It receives real-time logic commands from the main controller and outputs 24VDC switching signals to field loads. Each channel supports 2A rated current under 50% simultaneity, and it is equipped with fast shutdown circuit for inductive loads such as hydraulic coils, which can suppress reverse electromotive force and extend the service life of valves. Every output channel has independent short-circuit and overload detection. When a single channel fails, only the faulty channel will be locked, and the working state of other channels will not be affected.

Status LED indicators are arranged on the front panel, which can directly display the on-off state of each output channel for maintenance technicians to quickly troubleshoot. Engineers can configure channel mapping and parameter settings through KEBA engineering software. Built-in signal monitoring circuit continuously checks channel state and bus communication. If communication interruption, overload or hardware abnormality is detected, fault information will be uploaded to the controller and displayed on the HMI. The PCB board adopts conformal coating treatment, with good vibration resistance and EMC performance, adapting to dusty and oil mist workshop environment.

It adopts standard rack plug-in installation structure and matches Kemro K2-200 / K2-400 backplane system. This DO242/A version has been discontinued by KEBA factory, and it is mainly supplied as aftermarket replacement spare part for legacy ENGEL injection molding machines. Technicians can replace the faulty module safely after power cut without modifying the original field wiring and control program.
