KEBA DC162/IP20/53151/04 is an IP20 compact distributed field controller under KEBA Kemro automation series, the /04 stands for its specific hardware revision version. It is commonly mounted near the hydraulic manifold of injection molding machines and die-casting machines, undertaking local signal acquisition and on-site actuator driving tasks.

This integrated unit integrates digital input, digital output and analog signal channels. It collects 24VDC dry contact signals from safety gates, limit switches and proximity sensors, and 4-20mA analog feedback signals from pressure sensors and displacement transducers. It receives motion instructions from the upper KEBA main CPU via bus communication, then outputs control signals to proportional hydraulic valves to realize local axis adjustment. It supports partial standalone interlock logic when the bus communication link fails, improving on-site safety reliability.

It is equipped with CAN bus and serial communication interfaces for real-time data exchange with KEBA main controller, HMI and other Kemro modules. Operators can check channel status, read fault codes and adjust local control parameters by KEBA configuration software. Non-volatile memory inside keeps configuration data and parameter settings after power-off.

It is equipped with multi-level protection circuits including over-current, output short-circuit and over-temperature protection. Once overload or overtemperature condition is detected, the unit locks fault state and stops output, to protect internal circuit components and external hydraulic actuators. The IP20 enclosure prevents direct touch of live parts and reduces dust accumulation inside the unit.

It adopts independent wall-mounted structure and does not require matching rack backplane. The circuit board is treated with conformal coating, featuring outstanding vibration resistance and EMC performance, suitable for dusty workshops with heavy electromagnetic interference. Hot swap replacement is allowed under safe shutdown state to reduce machine downtime during maintenance.
