TRICONEX PI3381 is an 8-channel pulse input module adopting triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety I/O module captures pulse and frequency signals from speed sensors, magnetic pickups and NAMUR sensors, converts pulse signals into digital speed and frequency data for the Tricon main controller. The Tricon pulse input module supports 5~30VDC input signal, frequency range up to 10kHz and 24-bit high resolution counter for precise speed measurement and overspeed monitoring. Each channel has 1500V isolation protection to suppress field electrical interference. Continuous built-in channel diagnostics can detect open circuit, short circuit and hardware faults, and transmit fault alarms to the engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance workers can replace the faulty module online without shutting down the safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module health status and channel signal state for fast on-site troubleshooting. It adopts 2-out-of-3 voting logic to eliminate single point of failure, fully meets SIL3 safety integrity level requirements. It can be installed in standard Tricon rack and matched with Tricon controller and other I/O modules.
