TRICONEX 2658 is a high-performance communication module built with triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety system module acts as the data gateway between the Tricon main processor and external automation platforms, equipped with dual 10/100Mbps isolated Ethernet ports to ensure stable data transmission. The Tricon communication module supports Modbus TCP, TriStation, FTP and IEC 60870-5-104 protocols, enabling real-time upload of safety logic variables, alarm events and SOE sequence of events data to DCS, SCADA, HMI and engineering workstations. It can be configured redundantly to improve communication reliability, and continuously monitors Ethernet link status, internal memory and hardware health. Once communication interruption or hardware abnormality is detected, fault signals will be sent to the engineering workstation immediately. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty unit online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display power, link activity, fault and TriBus synchronization status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It is installed in the dedicated communication slot of standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon processor and I/O modules.
