TRICONEX AO3481 also known as 3481 AO module is a 4-channel TMR analog output module built on triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety I/O module converts digital control signals from the Tricon main controller into standard 4-20mA analog current signals to drive field control valves, positioners and analog actuators in safety interlock loops. The Tricon analog output module supports 4-20mA signal with 0~22mA overrange capability, 12-bit signal resolution and output accuracy less than 0.25% full scale, delivering stable and precise analog control output. It adopts commoned return DC coupled design, and each channel has built-in continuous diagnostics to detect open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, uploading fault alarms to the Tricon engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance technicians can replace the faulty unit online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module health status and each channel output state for fast on-site troubleshooting. It applies 2-out-of-3 voting logic to eliminate single point of failure and fully meets SIL3 safety integrity level requirements. It can be installed in standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon controller and other safety I/O modules.
