TRICONEX 2101 is a 32-channel digital input module adopting triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety I/O module collects 24VDC discrete signals from field limit switches, pressure switches, emergency stop buttons and dry contact devices, and converts these on-off signals into digital data for the Tricon main controller. The Tricon 32 channel digital input module supports 20~42.5VDC input voltage range, each channel is equipped with 1500V electrical isolation protection to resist ground loop noise and electromagnetic interference from field wiring. It injects diagnostic current pulses during normal operation to continuously detect open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, uploading fault alarm information to the Tricon engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module health status and each channel signal state for fast on-site troubleshooting. It adopts 2-out-of-3 voting logic to avoid single point of failure and fully meets SIL3 safety integrity level requirements. It can be installed in standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon processor and other I/O modules. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 2101 digital input module is used for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas monitoring and burner management safety control systems.
