TRICONEX 2058 is a Communication Processor Module built on triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety module acts as the dedicated communication gateway for the Tricon controller, handling high-speed data exchange between the main processor, I/O rack and external automation systems. The Tricon communication processor module supports multiple industry communication protocols including Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU and TriStation protocol, enabling real-time transmission of safety logic data, alarm events and SOE sequence of events information to DCS, SCADA, HMI and engineering workstations. It continuously monitors communication link quality, bus status and internal hardware health, and reports communication interruptions and hardware faults to the engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty unit online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module PASS, FAULT and communication activity status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It adopts 2-out-of-3 voting logic to eliminate single point of failure and fully meets SIL3 safety integrity level requirements. It can be installed in standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon main processor and other I/O modules.
