The ProSoft RLX2-IFH9E2 is a rugged industrial frequency hopping spread spectrum Ethernet radio operating in the 902–928 MHz band, designed for long-distance, high-interference wireless communication in industrial automation and SCADA systems. It supports master, repeater and remote radio modes, and adopts Smart Switch technology to realize virtual peer-to-peer packet switching, which is suitable for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint network topologies. It is compatible with all standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, and other TCP/UDP based industrial protocols, so users can transmit PLC, remote I/O and instrument data without modifying the original control program. The radio supports adjustable transmit power from 100mW to 1W, and two optional data rates of 1.1 Mbps or 345 kbps, with 128-bit AES encryption to protect industrial data transmission from unauthorized access. It uses ControlScape configuration software for network layout, parameter setting, online diagnosis and firmware upgrade, and provides real-time signal strength, packet error and communication status data for on-site troubleshooting. The built-in ARQ automatic retransmission mechanism and 32-bit CRC check greatly improve communication reliability in environments with obstacles and electromagnetic interference. The wireless link runs independently of the PLC controller, so data transmission will not occupy the controller scan cycle or affect the original control logic. This model is discontinued and only supplied as spare parts for legacy remote monitoring and field automation projects.

This radio adopts extruded aluminum housing, supporting DIN rail and panel mounting. It is equipped with one 10/100Mbps shielded RJ45 Ethernet port and one RP-SMA antenna interface, and accepts 9VDC to 24VDC wide-range power supply with maximum power consumption of 4.2W. LED indicators show power status, Ethernet link and wireless communication activity for fast on-site diagnosis. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It meets IEC industrial shock and vibration standards, and has obtained cULus Class I Division 2, ATEX Zone 2, FCC and IC certifications. It supports configuration backup and remote firmware upgrade for long-term maintenance.
