The ProSoft PLX51-PBS is a DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that functions exclusively as a PROFIBUS DP slave, enabling bidirectional cyclic and acyclic data exchange between PROFIBUS DP master networks and EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP or Modbus serial systems. It can emulate up to 10 independent PROFIBUS DP slave nodes, which is suitable for scenarios where multiple PROFIBUS slave devices need to be integrated into modern Ethernet control platforms. The gateway supports DPV0 cyclic data communication and DPV1 acyclic parameter access and alarm transmission, and the PROFIBUS baud rate ranges from 9600bps to 12Mbps to match various legacy PROFIBUS master controllers. It is equipped with dual Ethernet ports, supporting DLR Device Level Ring redundant network topology or acting as a built-in Ethernet switch for flexible on-site wiring.
