Product Details
The ProSoft RLX-IFH9E-A is a legacy RadioLinx frequency hopping spread spectrum Ethernet radio operating within the 902–928 MHz unlicensed band, designed for long-distance, high-reliability wireless Ethernet communication in industrial SCADA and process automation systems. It supports master, repeater and remote operation modes, and can build point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and store-and-forward repeater network architectures. It complies with IEEE 802.3 standard, and seamlessly transmits Ethernet-based industrial protocols including EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP and other TCP/UDP control traffic without modifying the original PLC program. The transmit power is adjustable from 100mW to 1W, and users can select 1.1 Mbps or 345 kbps data rate according to distance and interference environment. It adopts 128-bit AES encryption, 32-bit CRC check and ARQ automatic retransmission mechanism to enhance data integrity and security under strong electromagnetic interference. The outdoor line-of-sight communication distance can reach over 30 miles with high-gain directional antennas. ControlScape configuration software is used for network layout, parameter setting, online diagnosis and firmware upgrade. The supporting RadioLinx OPC server allows HMI and SCADA platforms to monitor real-time signal strength, packet error rate and radio operating status. The wireless data forwarding works independently, and it will not occupy the PLC scan cycle or interfere with the original control logic. This model is discontinued and only supplied as spare parts for legacy remote automation renovation projects.
This radio uses rugged extruded aluminum housing and supports DIN rail or panel mounting. It is equipped with one shielded 10/100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port and one RP-SMA antenna connector, and accepts 9VDC to 30VDC wide-range DC power supply. LED indicators display power status, Ethernet link and wireless communication activity for fast on-site troubleshooting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It has obtained FCC, IC and cULus Class I Division 2 certifications, meets industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards for surge and electrostatic interference. It supports configuration backup and firmware upgrade for long-term field maintenance.
This 900MHz frequency hopping industrial Ethernet radio is widely used in oil and gas wellhead monitoring, long-distance water supply pumping stations, pipeline SCADA, mining instrument transmission and port equipment monitoring projects. It provides stable anti-interference wireless Ethernet links for field control equipment where cable laying is difficult or costly. As a discontinued wireless spare part, the RLX-IFH9E-A delivers robust long-range wireless transmission, retains the original control system architecture and reduces the renovation cost of remote industrial SCADA network integration.
