Product Details
The ProSoft RLX-IFH24S-A is a legacy RadioLinx frequency hopping spread spectrum serial radio working on license-free 2.4 GHz band, specially designed for long-distance wireless serial communication for industrial SCADA and field instrument systems. It can be configured as master, repeater or remote radio to build point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and store-and-forward repeater network topology, and it is an ideal alternative when 900MHz radio bands are restricted or overcrowded. The radio is equipped with both RS232 and RS485 serial ports, supporting mainstream serial protocols including Modbus RTU, DF1, DNP3 and ASCII. It supports adjustable baud rates including 19.2k, 115k, 172k and 230kbps, and adopts 128-bit AES encryption, 32-bit CRC check and ARQ automatic retransmission mechanism to guarantee reliable data transmission under strong electromagnetic interference. The outdoor line-of-sight transmission distance can reach more than 15 miles with high-gain directional antennas. ControlScape configuration software is used for radio parameter setup, network layout and online diagnosis. The supporting RadioLinx OPC server allows engineers to monitor radio signal strength, packet error rate and communication status via HMI software. The wireless serial tunneling runs independently, so data transmission will not occupy the PLC scan cycle or interfere with the original control logic. This model is discontinued and only available as spare parts for legacy serial SCADA renovation projects.
This radio adopts compact metal housing and supports DIN rail installation. It comes with one RP-SMA antenna connector, and accepts 9VDC to 24VDC wide-range DC power supply. LED indicators display power status, serial transmit/receive activity and wireless link status for fast on-site troubleshooting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It has obtained FCC and IC certifications, meets industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards for surge and electrostatic interference. It supports configuration backup and firmware upgrade for long-term field maintenance.
This 2.4GHz frequency hopping serial radio is widely used in oil and gas wellhead monitoring, remote water pump stations, pipeline SCADA, power distribution remote terminal units and mining serial instrument transmission projects. It replaces expensive buried serial cables and realizes stable wireless transmission of serial instrument data. As a discontinued wireless spare part, the RLX-IFH24S-A maintains robust anti-interference serial wireless communication, protects original field serial devices and wiring, and reduces the renovation cost of long-distance serial SCADA network integration.
