The ProSoft PTQ-PDPS is an in-chassis ProTalk communication module designed for Schneider Modicon Quantum and Unity PLC rack, which enables the Quantum controller to act as a PROFIBUS DP slave device and exchange cyclic and diagnostic data with any PROFIBUS DP master controller such as Siemens S7, ABB and other third-party DP master stations. It conforms to IEC 61158 PROFIBUS standard, supports DP V0 cyclic data exchange, and provides DPV1 acyclic services for parameter access and diagnostic information reading. It is equipped with one galvanically isolated RS485 PROFIBUS DP port with DB9 connector, supporting baud rate from 9.6 kbps up to 12 Mbps, and a dedicated RS232 debug port for configuration and online troubleshooting. The maximum cyclic data capacity is 244 bytes for input and 244 bytes for output, which satisfies most process and machine control data mapping requirements. The official GSDML file is provided for importing into the PROFIBUS master configuration tool, and the station address can be set flexibly in software. Users complete point mapping and parameter configuration via ProSoft Configuration Builder software, and the module exchanges data with Quantum registers asynchronously through the backplane. It supports Unity Hot-Standby redundant system configuration to meet high availability requirements for continuous production. All PROFIBUS communication tasks run independently of the controller program, so data exchange will not occupy the PLC scan cycle or interfere with the original control logic. This module is discontinued and only supplied as spare parts for legacy cross-brand automation renovation projects.

This module fits standard Schneider Quantum single slot, draws 800mA at 5VDC from backplane. It supports hot-swappable operation for convenient on-site replacement without shutting down the whole rack. LED indicators display power status, backplane communication, PROFIBUS bus activity and fault alarms for fast field diagnosis. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 60°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, with relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It meets industrial EMC standards for surge, electrostatic and burst interference, and has Class I Division 2 hazardous location certification. It supports configuration backup and firmware upgrade for long-term site maintenance.

This PROFIBUS DP slave module is widely used in petrochemical, water treatment, power distribution, packaging machinery and mixed-brand production line transformation projects. It allows Schneider Quantum PLC to join the existing PROFIBUS DP master network without external protocol gateways, realizing stable cross-brand data interaction.
