The ProSoft PTQ-PDPMV1 is an in-chassis ProTalk communication module designed for Schneider Modicon Quantum and Unity PLC rack, operating as a PROFIBUS DPV1 master interface to connect with PROFIBUS DP slave field devices. It complies with IEC 61158 PROFIBUS standard, supporting both DPV0 cyclic I/O data exchange and Class 1 / Class 2 DPV1 acyclic services for parameter configuration, asset management and alarm diagnosis. It is equipped with one galvanically isolated RS485 PROFIBUS port, supporting baud rate up to 12 Mbps, and can connect up to 125 PROFIBUS slave nodes such as variable frequency drives, remote I/O modules, pressure transmitters, flow meters and position encoders. The module supports FDT/DTM configuration workflow, and it is compatible with Unity Pro, Concept and ProWORX programming software. It supports Quantum Hot-Standby redundant architecture, which can realize fast failover within 300ms to meet high-reliability requirements for continuous process production. Users configure the PROFIBUS network, GSD files and data mapping via dedicated configuration software, and the module exchanges data with Quantum PLC registers asynchronously over the backplane. All PROFIBUS bus polling and acyclic communication tasks run independently, so data exchange will not occupy the PLC scan cycle or interfere with the original control logic. This module is discontinued and only supplied as spare parts for legacy process automation and factory automation retrofit projects.

This module fits standard Schneider Quantum single slot, draws 800mA at 5VDC from backplane. It supports hot-swappable operation for convenient on-site replacement without shutting down the whole rack. LED indicators display power status, backplane communication, PROFIBUS bus activity and fault alarms for fast field diagnosis. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 60°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, with relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It meets industrial EMC standards for surge, electrostatic and burst interference, and has Class I Division 2 hazardous location certification. It supports configuration backup and firmware upgrade for long-term site maintenance.

This PROFIBUS DPV1 master module is widely used in petrochemical, water treatment, power distribution, mining and packaging machinery automation projects. It integrates PROFIBUS fieldbus devices into Schneider Quantum control platform without external protocol gateways, realizing stable fieldbus data collection and control. As a discontinued spare communication module, the PTQ-PDPMV1 maintains reliable PROFIBUS master communication, protects original field devices and bus wiring, and reduces the renovation cost of hybrid fieldbus network integration.
