The ProSoft PS-QS-1x10-0781 is a compact DIN-rail mounted QuickServer protocol gateway that delivers bidirectional data conversion between DF1 serial protocol and BACnet/IP network for building automation and industrial control integration. It is designed to connect legacy Rockwell DF1 PLCs such as SLC 500 and MicroLogix to BACnet/IP HVAC controllers, chillers, air handling units, lighting panels and BMS supervisory stations. The gateway supports up to 250 data points for the 1010 version and 500 data points for the 1510 version, which can satisfy most small and medium-sized building control system data mapping requirements. It is equipped with one 10/100Mbps Ethernet RJ45 port for BACnet/IP communication and one isolated RS232/RS485 serial port for DF1 connection, supporting adjustable baud rate, parity and stop bit settings to match DF1 serial devices. It supports BACnet COV subscription, object property read and write, alarm notification and time synchronization functions, complying with standard BACnet protocol specification. The free FieldServer Toolbox configuration software is used for project setup, data point mapping, online diagnosis and configuration file upload and download. Users can store multiple configuration files inside the gateway and switch projects via DIP switches on the hardware, which is convenient for equipment replacement and rapid commissioning. The gateway runs independently, so protocol conversion and data exchange will not affect the operation and scan cycle of the connected DF1 PLC. This model is discontinued and only supplied as spare parts for legacy building automation retrofit projects. Conformal coating version is optional for humid and dusty industrial environments.

This gateway supports wide-range power input from 9VDC to 30VDC, rated current 240mA at 12VDC. It supports DIN rail, wall or table mounting, and multiple LED indicators display power status, serial communication activity, Ethernet link status and fault alarms for fast on-site troubleshooting. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 75°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, with relative humidity 5% to 90% non-condensing. It has obtained BTL, UL, CE and FCC certifications, and meets industrial EMC standards for surge and electrostatic interference protection. It supports firmware upgrade and configuration backup for long-term field maintenance.

This DF1 to BACnet/IP QuickServer gateway is widely used in commercial building automation, central air conditioning monitoring, clean room control, factory facility management and old control system renovation projects. It realizes seamless interconnection between Rockwell DF1 serial control equipment and BACnet building management system without extra intermediate conversion hardware.
