The ProSoft PLX32-EIP-SIE is a standalone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that provides bidirectional data exchange between EtherNet/IP and Siemens S7 protocol. It comes with two separate Ethernet ports with network isolation function, which can realize network segmentation and improve the security of control network. It works as an EtherNet/IP adapter, supporting Class 1 implicit I/O connections and Class 3 explicit messages, and can connect Rockwell ControlLogix, CompactLogix controllers with Siemens S7-1200, S7-1500, S7-300, S7-400 PLCs. The built-in EDS add-on profile can be imported directly into Studio 5000 for simple configuration, which saves commissioning time and avoids complicated custom PLC programming. It supports read and write access to S7 DB blocks, input areas, output areas, memory bits and timers, and supports flexible data mapping of different data types. It supports multiple S7 server connections, and independent polling intervals can be configured for each connection to adjust data refresh speed. An SD card slot is reserved for storing configuration files, and the configuration can be quickly restored when replacing the gateway on site to reduce system downtime. The ProSoft Discovery Service tool helps engineers locate the gateway and modify IP settings easily even if the computer is not in the same subnet. All protocol conversion and data mapping run independently, so data exchange will not occupy the controller scan time or affect the original control logic. Conformal coating version is optional for dusty, humid and corrosive industrial environments.

This gateway supports wide DC power supply ranging from 10VDC to 36VDC, rated current 300mA at 24VDC. It adopts standard DIN rail mounting and is equipped with multiple LED indicators for power, fault, EtherNet/IP status and S7 communication activity to facilitate fast on-site diagnosis. The operating temperature range is -25°C to 70°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 80°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It meets IEC industrial shock and vibration standards and has reliable EMC protection against surge and electrostatic interference.
