The ProSoft PLX32-EIP-PND is a standalone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway with two galvanically isolated Ethernet ports, built for bidirectional real-time cyclic and acyclic data exchange between EtherNet/IP controllers and PROFINET IO controllers. The dual independent Ethernet ports separate the EtherNet/IP network and PROFINET network into different subnets, eliminating the need to reassign IP addresses of existing control devices and strengthening network isolation and cybersecurity. It acts as a PROFINET Class A IO device on the PROFINET side, and connects seamlessly with Rockwell ControlLogix, CompactLogix and other EtherNet/IP PACs through EtherNet/IP Class 1 I/O connections or Class 3 explicit messages. The gateway supports up to 1440 bytes input and 1440 bytes output cyclic data, which satisfies high-volume data exchange requirements for complex production lines and process automation systems. Multiple I/O connections can be configured with independent RPI values to optimize network bandwidth for control signals and diagnostic data. The embedded EDS and AOP add-on profile can be imported directly into Studio 5000 or RSLogix 5000, removing the need for custom ladder logic programming and greatly shortening commissioning time. It is equipped with an SD card slot for configuration backup and fast one-click restoration during hardware replacement, which effectively reduces production downtime. Users complete data mapping, connection parameters and alarm configuration through ProSoft Configuration Builder software. The gateway runs independently of the PLC scan cycle, so protocol conversion and real-time data forwarding will not occupy controller resources or interfere with the original control logic. It provides comprehensive diagnostic tags for connection status, data counters, timeout and fault codes, which can be read by the host controller and displayed on HMI or SCADA platforms for fast troubleshooting. A conformal coated version is optional for humid, dusty and corrosive industrial environments. This model is widely used for cross-brand PLC interconnection in new factory automation projects and legacy system retrofits.

This gateway adopts rugged metal housing for DIN rail installation. It is fitted with two galvanically isolated 10/100Mbps shielded RJ45 Ethernet ports, and accepts 10VDC to 36VDC wide-range DC power supply with 24VDC nominal input. LED indicators display power status, module fault, EtherNet/IP link activity and PROFINET connection status for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is -25°C to 70°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 80°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with IEC industrial shock, vibration and EMC standards, and has obtained ODVA and PROFINET Class A certification. It supports remote configuration, online firmware upgrade and configuration backup for long-term field maintenance.
