The ProSoft PLX31-EIP-PND is a standalone DIN-rail mounted protocol gateway that enables bidirectional real-time data exchange between EtherNet/IP controllers and PROFINET IO controllers. It acts as a PROFINET IO device (slave) on the PROFINET network, while communicating with Rockwell ControlLogix, CompactLogix and other EtherNet/IP PACs through EtherNet/IP Class 1 I/O connections. The gateway supports up to 1440 bytes of input data and 1440 bytes of output data, which satisfies the large-volume data transmission requirements for complex automation applications. It supports multiple I/O connections, and users can set different RPI values for control signals and diagnostic data separately to optimize industrial Ethernet bandwidth. The embedded EDS add-on profile can be imported directly into Studio 5000 or RSLogix 5000, which greatly reduces configuration workload and avoids complicated ladder logic programming for protocol conversion. It is equipped with an SD card slot for configuration file backup and fast recovery during hardware replacement. All configuration including data mapping, connection parameters and alarm settings is finished in ProSoft Configuration Builder software. The gateway runs independently of the PLC scan cycle, so real-time data forwarding will not occupy controller resources or interfere with the original control logic. It provides comprehensive diagnostic tags for connection status, data counters, timeout and fault flags, which can be monitored on HMI or SCADA platforms for rapid troubleshooting. A conformal coating version is optional for harsh environments. This model is widely used for cross-brand PLC interconnection in new factory projects and automation retrofits.

This compact gateway adopts rugged metal housing for DIN rail installation. It has one galvanically isolated 10/100Mbps shielded RJ45 Ethernet port, and accepts 10VDC to 36VDC wide-range DC power supply with 24VDC nominal input. LED indicators display power status, module fault, Ethernet link activity, EtherNet/IP connection state and PROFINET communication status for convenient on-site inspection. The operating temperature range is -25°C to 70°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 80°C, relative humidity 5% to 95% non-condensing. It complies with industrial EMC, shock and vibration standards, and has passed relevant industrial certifications. It supports remote configuration, online firmware upgrade and configuration backup for long-term field maintenance.
