The ProSoft MVI69L-MBTCP is a cost-effective single-slot Modbus TCP Lite communication module designed for Rockwell 1769 CompactLogix L2 series controllers, which is tailored for small-scale OEM machines and compact automation projects that require limited Modbus TCP network connections. It integrates one 10/100Mbps auto-negotiating RJ45 Ethernet port for both Modbus TCP application data transmission and online diagnostic access. The module can run as Modbus TCP client and server simultaneously, supporting up to 10 client connections and 2 server connections, with server ports 502 and 2000 available for configuration. It supports mainstream Modbus function codes including read coils, read discrete inputs, read holding registers, read input registers, single and multiple write operations, mask write and read-write combined commands. This module supports configurable floating-point parsing compatible with Enron and Daniel floating-point formats to handle different byte order arrangements of Modbus devices. The maximum I/O data capacity is 240 input words and 240 output words, which meets the data acquisition and control requirements of simple Modbus TCP networks. It works as an independent co-processor and exchanges data with CompactLogix processor asynchronously over the 1769 backplane, so Modbus polling and message response will not occupy the PLC scan cycle and affect real-time control logic. It provides official add-on profile and add-on instruction for Studio 5000, which automatically generates UDT tags, fault status and diagnostic information to shorten commissioning time. The module configuration can be saved directly inside the CompactLogix ACD project file for convenient backup and recovery. Conformal coating version is optional for humid, dusty and corrosive industrial environments. This module supports CompactLogix processors with 1769 bus firmware version 16 and above, and MicroLogix 1500 is not supported.

This module fits standard 1769 single-slot rack and consumes 450mA at 5VDC from the backplane. It supports hot-swappable operation for on-site replacement without shutting down the whole automation rack. Multiple LED indicators display module power status, backplane communication health, Ethernet link status and application running state for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. The operating temperature range is 0°C to 60°C, storage temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C, with 5% to 95% non-condensing humidity tolerance. It meets industrial shock and vibration standards and adopts reliable EMC protection against surge and electrostatic interference. It supports configuration file backup and firmware upgrade for routine maintenance.
