Product Details
The ProSoft ILX34-AENWG2 is a wireless POINT I/O communication adapter designed for Rockwell distributed I/O systems, delivering 802.11g wireless EtherNet/IP connectivity between Logix controllers and POINT I/O racks. It replaces hardwired Ethernet links for I/O control, supporting cyclic real-time data exchange of analog inputs, discrete inputs, analog outputs and discrete outputs over industrial Wi-Fi. It connects to the POINTBus backplane to power and communicate with local POINT I/O modules, and works seamlessly with ControlLogix and CompactLogix PACs. The adapter supports standard EtherNet/IP connection based control, and configuration is finished through the add-on profile inside RSLogix 5000 or Studio 5000, with extra web pages for wireless parameter setup and remote diagnostic checking. It supports common industrial wireless security modes to protect control data from unauthorized access.
This adapter adopts DIN rail mounting for cabinet installation. It accepts 24 VDC industrial power supply and provides LED indicators for power, wireless RF status, POINTBus activity and network fault status. It can supply up to 300 mA current for POINT I/O backplane modules. It supports anti-reverse power protection and transient surge protection for stable field operation. It has robust EMC immunity against ESD and radiated radio interference, with an operating temperature range of -20°C to 55°C. Shock and vibration resistance comply with IEC industrial standards, suitable for moving equipment and factory floor environments. It also supports remote firmware upgrade over wireless network, which reduces maintenance workload for distributed I/O locations.
This wireless POINT I/O adapter is widely used for overhead cranes, automated guided vehicles, robotic stations, conveyor systems and remote monitoring sites where cable routing is difficult or expensive. It allows flexible layout of distributed POINT I/O without long Ethernet cables, and keeps the original Rockwell I/O configuration logic unchanged. As a discontinued legacy wireless adapter, the ILX34-AENWG2 is mainly provided as spare replacement parts for existing running automation systems. It maintains stable low-latency wireless I/O transmission, preserves the original POINT I/O hardware and wiring, and lowers renovation cost for mobile and distributed control applications.
