The ProSoft BM-1000-PM1K is a Modbus RS485 I/O master gateway for distributed industrial I/O collection and control, designed to connect host controllers with remote Modbus slave I/O modules over RS485 serial bus. It acts as a Modbus master device to poll analog input, analog output, discrete input and discrete output signals from field I/O nodes, and exchange real-time register data with the upper control system. It supports standard Modbus RTU protocol, flexible baud rate setting and multiple slave station addressing, and can collect measurement values, switch status and fault alarm information from field instruments and remote I/O blocks. The gateway adopts terminal block wiring for RS485 communication and power connection, and supports simple data mapping for cyclic control and monitoring tasks.

This gateway supports DIN rail mounting for installation inside control cabinets. It is powered by 24 VDC industrial power supply and equipped with front LED indicators for power, serial transmit, receive and fault status, which helps technicians quickly judge communication status and troubleshoot bus faults during commissioning and maintenance. Users can configure slave station addresses, polling intervals, timeout parameters and data mapping rules through configuration software. It provides serial communication diagnosis functions including frame error statistics and real-time register value viewing. It has reliable EMC performance to resist electromagnetic interference in factory and process sites, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 55°C for stable continuous long-term operation.

This Modbus I/O master gateway is widely used in water treatment, material handling systems, packaging automation, remote field monitoring and distributed I/O renovation projects. It simplifies the wiring of scattered field I/O points and enables centralized monitoring and control via Modbus RS485 network. As a discontinued legacy Modbus gateway, the BM-1000-PM1K is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for running automation systems. It maintains stable Modbus RTU polling and I/O data transmission, preserves the original field I/O modules and wiring, and reduces the cost of system reconstruction.
