Product Details

The ProSoft AN-X2-GENI is an industrial migration gateway designed to connect Rockwell EtherNet/IP PACs and ControlLogix controllers to legacy GE Genius I/O networks. It acts as a Genius bus scanner, supporting up to 31 Genius I/O blocks and enabling bidirectional data exchange between modern EtherNet/IP control systems and existing Genius remote I/O modules. The gateway features one 10/100Mbps RJ45 Ethernet port for EtherNet/IP communication, a dedicated 5-pin terminal connector for GE Genius bus, and a 3-pin terminal for DC power supply. It supports multiple Genius bus baud rates including 38.4Kbps,76.8Kbps and 153.6Kbps, and can automatically generate scan lists and RSLogix 5000 tag files to reduce configuration workload.

This gateway adopts DIN rail mounting for cabinet installation. It accepts 12VDC to 24VDC power supply with low power consumption, and is equipped with status LED indicators for power, network and bus communication status. Configuration and diagnosis are completed via built-in web browser interface, no special software installation required. It supports offline CSV configuration and convenient firmware upgrade over Ethernet. The unique monitor mode allows users to verify control logic with live I/O data without interfering with the running legacy Genius system, which greatly lowers the risk during system upgrade. It also supports microSD card for configuration backup and transfer. Its operating temperature range is 0°C to 50°C, with reliable EMC performance for factory industrial environments.

This migration gateway is widely used in GE Genius I/O system renovation, phased PLC upgrade projects for GE 90-30 and 90-70 controllers, production line reconstruction and spare replacement. It allows users to retain the original Genius I/O wiring and field modules, and gradually migrate to Rockwell EtherNet/IP control platform without full shutdown. As a discontinued legacy communication gateway, the AN-X2-GENI is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for stable-running automation systems. It maintains stable bus scanning and data transmission, preserves the original field wiring and I/O hardware, and effectively cuts down renovation cost and downtime.
