The ProSoft AN-X-PB2 is an industrial PROFIBUS migration and diagnostic gateway, designed for bidirectional data exchange between EtherNet/IP and PROFIBUS DP networks. It supports two core operating modes: PROFIBUS multi-slave mode and passive network capture mode. In multi-slave mode, it transfers large volumes of cyclic I/O data between PROFIBUS DP master controllers and Rockwell EtherNet/IP PLCs without complex multiplexing logic. In capture mode, it passively monitors PROFIBUS bus traffic, records timestamped communication frames and filters fault messages, which helps engineers troubleshoot intermittent bus problems without disrupting live production. It is equipped with one 10/100Mbps Ethernet port and a 9-pin D-SUB PROFIBUS DP interface, supporting PROFIBUS DP-V0 and DP-V1 acyclic services for parameter reading and device diagnosis. It can automatically generate Logix tag files to simplify configuration work for EtherNet/IP hosts.

This gateway adopts DIN rail mounting for cabinet installation. It accepts 12VDC to 24VDC wide-range DC power supply and features front LED indicators for power, Ethernet activity, PROFIBUS communication and fault status. All configuration, data mapping, capture filter setup and firmware upgrade are completed via built-in web browser interface, no dedicated configuration software is required. It supports frame logging, error statistics and real-time bus monitoring. It has reliable EMC performance to adapt to harsh industrial electromagnetic interference environments, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C for stable continuous long-term operation.

This PROFIBUS gateway is widely used in factory automation upgrading, process control system renovation, production line troubleshooting and spare replacement projects. It allows users to integrate PROFIBUS DP field devices into EtherNet/IP control platforms and carry out online bus diagnosis at the same time. As a discontinued legacy communication gateway, the AN-X-PB2 is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for running automation systems. It maintains stable cyclic data transmission and non-intrusive bus capture function, preserves the original PROFIBUS field wiring and devices, and reduces system transformation risks.
