The ProSoft AN-X-MOD is an industrial migration gateway built for Modicon S908 remote I/O network renovation, enabling bidirectional data exchange between EtherNet/IP and Modicon S908 protocol. It acts as an S908 network scanner, allowing Rockwell ControlLogix and other EtherNet/IP PACs to read input signals and send output commands to legacy Modicon 800 series and Quantum remote I/O drops. The gateway supports up to 32 S908 drops on the bus, and it can establish up to 16 scheduled EtherNet/IP connections with independent RPI settings for real-time control. It can automatically scan the S908 network and generate I/O tag files for Logix controllers, which greatly reduces manual configuration work and avoids configuration errors. It also supports monitor mode, which can capture and view S908 bus data without interfering with the running control system, convenient for debugging and risk assessment before migration.

This gateway adopts DIN rail mounting for cabinet installation. It accepts 12VDC to 24VDC industrial power supply and is equipped with front LED indicators for power, Ethernet link, S908 bus communication and fault status. Users can complete network configuration, data mapping, diagnostic checking and firmware upgrade through the built-in web browser interface, no special configuration software is required. It integrates hardware watchdog and jabber inhibit protection functions to ensure safe operation when communication fails. It supports drop-level and module-level diagnostic information upload, which helps engineers quickly locate fault points on the S908 bus. It has stable EMC performance for factory industrial environments, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 50°C for long-term continuous operation.

This migration gateway is widely used in Modicon S908 I/O system upgrade, phased Schneider PLC migration, production line reconstruction and spare replacement projects. It retains the original S908 field wiring and I/O modules, and realizes gradual migration to the Rockwell EtherNet/IP platform without long full-line shutdown. As a discontinued legacy communication gateway, the AN-X-MOD is mainly supplied as spare replacement parts for stable-running automation systems.
