The ProSoft 5204SE-MNET-PDPMV1 is a standalone ProLinx protocol gateway, designed for bidirectional data conversion between Modbus TCP and PROFIBUS DP-V1 master protocols. It acts as a communication bridge, enabling Modbus TCP controllers, PLCs and host systems to access PROFIBUS DP slave devices such as variable frequency drives, remote I/O modules, transmitters and intelligent field instruments. It is equipped with one 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port for Modbus TCP client and server communication, and one 9-pin D-SUB PROFIBUS DP master interface. It supports both cyclic process data exchange and acyclic DPV1 mailbox services, which are used for parameter reading, device diagnosis and alarm retrieval of smart PROFIBUS slaves. It complies with IEC 61158 standard, supports mono-master and multi-master PROFIBUS networks, and allows users to import standard GSD files for slave configuration.

This gateway adopts DIN rail mounting for installation inside control cabinets. It is powered by 24 VDC industrial power supply and fitted with front-panel LED indicators for power, Ethernet link, PROFIBUS communication and fault status, which helps technicians quickly locate communication faults during commissioning and maintenance. Users can configure slave station list, data mapping tables, polling cycles and diagnostic parameters through ProSoft Configuration Builder software. It supports comprehensive PROFIBUS slave diagnosis, frame error statistics and real-time data monitoring. It has reliable EMC performance to resist electromagnetic interference in process and factory sites, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 55°C for stable continuous long-term operation. This model also supports pass-through mailbox messaging, which lets Modbus TCP hosts send direct acyclic commands to PROFIBUS DPV1 slaves.

This fieldbus gateway is widely used in process control, manufacturing production lines, water treatment, oil and gas monitoring, and automation system upgrade projects.
