The ProSoft 5204-DFNT-PDPMV12 is a standalone ProLinx protocol gateway for industrial automation, which realizes bidirectional data conversion between EtherNet/IP and PROFIBUS DPV1 master protocol. It serves as a communication bridge that allows Rockwell EtherNet/IP controllers to communicate with PROFIBUS DP slave instruments, drives, remote I/O modules and transmitters. It is equipped with one 10/100Base-TX Ethernet port for EtherNet/IP explicit messaging and one 9-pin D-SUB PROFIBUS DP master port supporting communication speed up to 12 Mbps. This gateway supports both cyclic process data exchange and acyclic DPV1 read/write services, which is critical for parameter configuration, diagnosis and alarm reading of smart PROFIBUS slave devices. It can work in mono-master or multi-master PROFIBUS networks and supports standard GSD file import for slave device configuration.

This gateway adopts DIN rail mounting for installation inside control cabinets. It is powered by 24 VDC industrial power supply and fitted with front-panel LED indicators for power, Ethernet link, PROFIBUS activity and fault status, which helps technicians quickly locate communication faults during commissioning and maintenance. Users can complete slave list configuration, data mapping, polling parameters and diagnostic setup via ProSoft Configuration Builder software. It provides comprehensive PROFIBUS slave diagnosis, frame error statistics and real-time data monitoring functions. It has excellent EMC performance to resist electromagnetic interference in factory and process sites, with an operating temperature range of 0°C to 55°C for stable continuous long-term operation.

This fieldbus protocol gateway is widely used in manufacturing production lines, process control systems, oil and gas monitoring, water treatment plants and automation system upgrade projects. It enables Logix EtherNet/IP PLCs to access a full range of PROFIBUS DP smart slaves without replacing the existing fieldbus equipment or rewriting core control logic.
