The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/61 temperature monitor module is a full-height six-channel temperature monitoring card developed for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. It can receive two main types of temperature sensor signals, including RTD resistance temperature detectors and E/J/K/T type thermocouples, supporting mixed input configuration on different channels. Compared with 3500/60 temperature module without recorder output, 3500/61 is equipped with independent 4-20mA recorder output for each of six channels, which can transmit temperature data to DCS and SCADA systems in real time. Users can set independent Alert and Danger alarm thresholds for every channel through rack configuration software, and also configure temperature differential monitoring function. When bearing temperature exceeds preset limit values, the module sends alarm and trip signals to rack relay modules, triggering local alarm indication or safety shutdown to protect large rotating equipment from thermal damage. It can match multiple rear I/O terminal boards, including non-isolated type and TC isolated type with 250Vdc channel isolation for anti-interference, and optional intrinsically safe barrier I/O board for hazardous explosive industrial environments. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, communication state and channel bypass information for convenient on-site inspection. The module supports hot swapping when the rack runs normally, and hardware replacement will not interrupt the machinery protection safety logic. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function automatically detects sensor open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and uploads fault event information to rack system. It can form TMR triple redundant monitoring architecture by installing three 3500/61 modules together, effectively reduce false trip risk, and comply with API 670 industry standard and SIL2 safety certification. It is widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, used for real-time online monitoring of bearing metal temperature, stator temperature and other key thermal parameters of critical rotating machinery.
