The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/42-04-00 four-channel Proximitor seismic monitor module is a full-height plug-in card for Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. The suffix -04 stands for internal barrier plus internal termination version, -00 indicates no special agency certification. This module can be installed in any free slot of the 3500 rack. It supports proximity probes, velocity sensors and accelerometers. Built-in internal safety barrier allows direct connection to sensors installed in hazardous areas without external safety barrier equipment. It provides -24Vdc transducer excitation for proximity probes. The four channels can be configured in pairs via 3500 rack configuration software to measure radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricity, velocity and acceleration. Each channel outputs independent 4-20mA analog recorder signal to DCS system. Engineers can set Alert and Danger alarm thresholds. When the measured value exceeds the preset threshold, the module sends alarm signals to rack relay modules to trigger machinery alarm or shutdown interlock. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, bypass state and each channel alarm state for routine inspection. Built-in self-diagnosis function can detect probe open circuit, short circuit and signal loss faults. The module supports hot swapping during normal rack operation, maintenance staff can replace the module without shutting down the whole TSI system. It complies with API 670 turbomachinery monitoring standard, widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, used for rotating machinery vibration, displacement and acceleration protection monitoring in hazardous area sensor applications.
