The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/40-01-00 four-channel Proximitor monitor module is a full-height plug-in card for Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection system. The suffix -01 stands for internal termination I/O type, -00 means no special agency certification, suitable for ordinary control room environments. This module can be installed in any free slot of the 3500 rack. It receives signals from Bently proximity probes and provides -24Vdc transducer excitation for eddy current sensors. The four channels are grouped in pairs: channels 1&2 as group one, channels 3&4 as group two. Each group can be programmed via 3500 rack configuration software for radial vibration, thrust position, differential expansion, eccentricity or REBAM rolling bearing vibration measurement. Engineers can set Alert and Danger alarm thresholds for each channel. When the measured value exceeds the set threshold, the module sends alarm signals to rack relay modules to trigger machinery alarm or shutdown interlock. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, bypass state and channel alarm status for on-site inspection. Built-in self-diagnosis function can detect probe open circuit, short circuit and signal missing faults. The module supports hot swapping during rack operation, maintenance staff can replace the module without shutting down the whole TSI system. This is the legacy original 3500/40 model, and the upgraded replacement is 3500/40M. It complies with API 670 turbomachinery monitoring standard, widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, used for shaft vibration and axial displacement protection monitoring.
