TRICONEX 4329 also known as NCM4329 is a high-performance network communication module built with triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety network module acts as an Ethernet gateway to realize bidirectional real-time data exchange between the Tricon main processor and external systems including DCS, HMI, SCADA and TriStation engineering workstation. The Tricon network communication module is equipped with dual redundant 10BASE2 BNC Ethernet ports running at 10Mbps, supporting Modbus TCP and proprietary Tricon peer communication protocol. It can offload all network transmission tasks from the main processor, so the main processor can focus on executing safety logic programs without performance loss. This module adopts 2-out-of-3 voting mechanism for all transmitted and received data to eliminate single point of failure and ensure the integrity of safety data. It continuously monitors network link status, data checksum and internal hardware health, and will trigger fault alarm messages once cable breakage, network disconnection or hardware failure occurs. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty network communication module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module PASS, FAULT, LINK and ACT status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It can be installed in dedicated communication slot of standard Tricon rack and fully compatible with Tricon processor and all Tricon I/O modules. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 4329 network communication module is used for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas detection and burner management safety interlock systems.
