TRICONEX 8305 is a TMR power supply module built with triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety power module converts universal AC or DC input voltage into stable multi-channel DC power to supply the Tricon backplane, delivering reliable operating power for main processors, communication modules and all I/O modules installed inside the chassis. The Tricon power supply module supports 85–264V AC wide input range, and can be deployed in redundant parallel configuration. If one power unit fails, the backup module will take over power delivery seamlessly without interrupting the safety system operation. The module integrates comprehensive protection circuits including overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, short circuit and overtemperature protection to prevent hardware damage to the safety controller. It continuously monitors output voltage, load current and internal temperature, and uploads fault alarm messages to the Tricon engineering workstation once power abnormality or hardware failure is detected. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty power supply module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display power input, active output and fault status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It can be installed in dedicated power slots of standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon processor and I/O modules. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 8305 power supply module provides uninterrupted power support for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas detection and burner management safety interlock systems.
