TRICONEX 2290614 is a bus interface communication module built with triple modular redundancy (TMR) architecture for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety module realizes bidirectional real-time data exchange between the Tricon safety controller and external DCS, HMI, SCADA and engineering workstation, supporting protocol conversion for cross-system integration. The Tricon bus interface communication module is equipped with 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, compatible with Modbus TCP and Tricon proprietary communication protocols. It can transmit safety variables, alarm status and SOE sequence of event records between different automation platforms. The module adopts 2-out-of-3 voting mechanism for all transmitted and received data to eliminate single point of failure and guarantee data integrity. It continuously monitors network link condition, data checksum and internal hardware health, and uploads fault alarm messages to the Tricon engineering workstation once communication interruption or hardware abnormality occurs. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance personnel can replace the faulty communication module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module PASS, FAULT, LINK and ACT status for fast on-site inspection and troubleshooting. It can be installed in dedicated communication slot of standard Tricon rack and cooperates with Tricon processor and all Tricon I/O modules.
