This ucn interface processor acts as a dedicated protocol bridge,transferring real-time process measurements,control setpoints,equipment status and alarm messages bidirectionally between the local control rack and the upper UCN DCS system. It separates UCN network traffic from the IPC 620 internal backplane bus,offloading communication processing tasks so that core control logic execution will not be delayed by heavy data exchange with the DCS. It verifies data integrity and forwards valid commands while filtering abnormal network frames to avoid false control actions.
