It serves as the physical signal interface between the serial IOP module and field serial instruments, providing terminal wiring, signal isolation, surge protection and signal conditioning for RS232 and RS485 serial communication links. The conformal coating on the PCB board protects internal circuits against moisture, salt mist and corrosive vapors in harsh industrial environments such as offshore platforms and chemical plants, preventing circuit oxidation, leakage and short circuit and extending the long-term stable service life of the termination board. It supports single-channel serial signal layout, and each signal channel is equipped with independent transient surge suppression and common-mode isolation components, which can block induced lightning surge, ground potential difference and reverse voltage interference transmitted through long field cables, effectively protecting the expensive serial IOP module mounted on the backplane from burnout.
