Honeywell 51109701100 (51109701-100, MP-DFDTM2) is a dedicated floppy disk drive unit for Honeywell TDC3000 engineering and operator station,its main purpose is controller program backup,logic file loading and historical alarm data export for legacy TDC3000 DCS system. This floppy drive connects to the engineering station mainboard through dedicated internal interface,reads control logic,point configuration and recipe files stored on 3.5-inch floppy disks,and uploads the program files to the TDC3000 controller for logic activation. It can also download the existing control strategy,alarm log and trend record data from the station back to floppy media for offline version backup and archiving. It adopts built-in read-write verification mechanism. When the disk sector is damaged or read error occurs,it will prompt bad media alarm automatically to prevent incomplete program from being loaded into the controller and causing safety misoperation of burner and interlock equipment.
