The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/63 six-channel temperature monitor module is a full-height plug-in card developed for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection rack system. It supports access to 3-wire and 4-wire RTD resistance temperature sensors and multiple types of thermocouples including E, J, K, T types, and users can configure different sensor types on separate channels according to the actual monitoring requirements on site. The module can measure absolute temperature values and temperature difference parameters, widely used for bearing metal temperature, motor stator temperature and process medium temperature monitoring of rotating machinery. Users can set independent Alert and Danger two-stage alarm thresholds for each channel through the official rack configuration software. When the monitored temperature exceeds the preset limit, the module will transmit alarm and trip signals to the relay modules on the rack backplane, triggering local alarm indication or safety shutdown action to avoid equipment damage caused by overheating. It can be matched with a variety of rear I/O termination boards, including standard external termination, channel isolation type and intrinsically safe barrier versions, which can adapt to ordinary industrial cabinets and hazardous explosive areas. Front panel LED indicators clearly display module OK operating status, backplane communication status and channel bypass state for convenient on-site inspection and maintenance. The module supports hot swapping under normal rack operation, and hardware replacement will not interrupt the safety protection logic of the whole TSI system. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function automatically detects sensor open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and uploads fault event information to the rack system in real time. It can form TMR triple redundant monitoring architecture by installing three 3500/63 modules together, greatly reducing the risk of false trip and missed trip, complying with API 670 industry standard and SIL2 safety certification.
