The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/53 overspeed detection module is a high-speed safety protection card for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection rack system, specially designed for critical turbomachinery overspeed safety shutdown. It receives pulse signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups installed on rotating shafts, and quickly converts raw pulse signals into real-time shaft rotating speed values. This module can be combined with multiple 3500/53 modules to build 2-out-of-2 or recommended 2-out-of-3 voting safety architecture, effectively reduce false trip risks and meet API 670 and API 612 turbomachinery overspeed protection standards. It features fast trip response time, once the shaft speed exceeds the preset danger threshold, the module will immediately trigger safety trip action to shut down the unit and avoid catastrophic damage caused by overspeed failure. It supports buffered transducer output for waveform and pulse signal inspection. Front panel LED indicators display module OK operating state, sensor fault and communication status for field maintenance check. The module supports hot swapping under redundant power configuration, and hardware replacement will not affect the safety protection logic of the whole rack. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function automatically detects sensor open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and uploads fault alarm information to the rack system. Multiple I/O board options are available, including standard termination and intrinsically safe barrier versions for ordinary industrial areas and hazardous explosive areas. It is widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, providing reliable and high-reliability overspeed safety protection for large rotating equipment.
