The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/50 tachometer module is a full-height dual-channel speed monitoring card designed for the Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection rack system. It receives pulse signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups mounted on rotating shafts, and converts raw pulse signals into accurate shaft rotational speed data. Users can configure this module via dedicated rack software, supporting four working modes including speed band alarm, zero-speed detection, rotor acceleration alarm and reverse rotation alarm. The module can be configured to output stable Keyphasor reference signals to the rack backplane for other monitor modules to calculate vibration phase and orbit data, which can save the hardware cost of installing an independent 3500/25 Keyphasor module. It is equipped with peak hold function to record the maximum speed, maximum reverse speed or reverse rotation times of the unit, and the stored peak data can be manually reset by maintenance personnel. When the rotating speed exceeds the preset Alert and Danger thresholds, the module will send alarm and trip signals to rack relay modules to trigger safety interlock and prevent turbine and compressor damage caused by overspeed faults. Front panel LED indicators display module health status, sensor fault and communication state for convenient on-site inspection. The module supports hot swapping under normal rack operation, and replacement will not interrupt the machinery protection safety loop. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function automatically detects sensor open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and uploads fault information to the rack system in real time. It supports TMR triple redundant overspeed protection configuration to reduce false trip risk. It is widely applied in petrochemical, power generation and metallurgy industries, matched with steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors, providing reliable overspeed protection, zero speed and rotation direction monitoring for critical rotating equipment.
