The BENTLY NEVADA 3500/16 dual channel overspeed module is a full-height safety monitoring card for Bently Nevada 3500 TSI machinery protection rack system. It is designed for high reliability overspeed protection of critical turbomachinery, accepting pulse signals from proximity probes or magnetic pickups mounted on rotating shafts and converting raw pulse signals into real-time shaft rotational speed values. This module supports independent speed measurement for two shafts, and multiple 3500/16 modules can be combined to build 2-out-of-3 voting safety architecture to reduce false trip risks and meet API 670 turbomachinery monitoring specifications. Users can set Alert and Danger speed thresholds separately via rack configuration software. Once the rotating speed exceeds the preset danger value, the module outputs fast trip signals to trigger safety shutdown and avoid catastrophic rotor damage caused by overspeed. It provides buffered transducer output for pulse signal inspection and waveform debugging. Front panel LED indicators display module OK status, sensor fault and communication state for on-site maintenance inspection. The module supports hot swapping under redundant power configuration, hardware replacement operation will not affect the safety protection logic of the whole rack. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis function automatically detects sensor open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and uploads fault alarm information to the rack system in real time. There are multiple optional rear I/O boards, including standard terminal type and intrinsically safe barrier type for ordinary industrial sites and hazardous explosive areas.
