TRICONEX 8111 is a high density I/O expansion chassis built for Triconex TMR safety instrumented systems (SIS). This TMR safety chassis works together with the 8110 main chassis to expand the installation capacity of Tricon I/O modules and communication modules, extending the scale of safety control system. The chassis is equipped with triple redundant backplane bus matching Tricon 2-out-of-3 voting safety architecture, realizing stable power distribution and triple signal transmission for each plug-in module. It adopts heavy-duty industrial steel cabinet structure, good vibration resistance and electromagnetic interference resistance, adapting to harsh factory working conditions. The chassis supports hot swap of I/O and communication modules, maintenance personnel can replace faulty modules online without shutting down the whole safety system, minimizing system downtime. It connects to the main chassis through triplicated RS485 expansion bus, and can install multiple sets of digital and analog I/O modules. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 8111 expansion chassis provides rack installation and bus transmission for ESD emergency shutdown, fire and gas detection and burner management safety interlock systems.
