TRICONEX 3805E is an 8-channel TMR analog output module developed for Triconex Tricon safety instrumented system (SIS). This TMR safety I/O module adopts triple modular redundancy architecture with three independent signal processing channels and 2-out-of-3 voting logic to eliminate single point of failure. The Tricon analog output module converts digital control signals from the Tricon main controller into 4-20mA analog current signals, which are used to drive field control valves, positioners and other analog actuators in safety-related process control. It supports 4-20mA output with 6% overrange, 12-bit resolution and output accuracy less than 0.25% full scale. All channels are commoned return with DC coupled design. Continuous built-in channel diagnostics can detect open circuit, short circuit and internal hardware faults, and upload fault alarms to the Tricon engineering workstation in real time. The module supports hot swap operation, maintenance staff can replace the faulty module online without shutting down the whole safety system. Front panel LED indicators display module health status and each channel output state for fast on-site troubleshooting. It complies with SIL3 safety integrity level requirements and can be installed in standard Tricon rack together with Tricon controller and other I/O modules. Widely applied in oil & gas, petrochemical, chemical and power industries, this TRICONEX 3805E analog output module is used for ESD emergency shutdown and safety interlock control systems.
