FOXBORO FBM21 is an 8-channel galvanically isolated 4-20mA analog input fieldbus module belonging to the classic FOXBORO I/A Series DCS original FBM family, not the later Compact 200 FBM201 series. It receives 4-20mA instrument signals from pressure transmitters, flow transmitters and level sensors, converting analog current signals into digital data for the FCP controller. Each channel adopts independent isolation to prevent ground loop interference between different instrument loops. The PCB uses conformal coating to resist dust, humidity, vibration and electromagnetic interference in harsh industrial control room environments. It communicates over redundant fieldbus. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis detects instrument open circuit and loop fault conditions, triggering alarms for technicians to quickly locate field wiring and sensor failures. FBM21 supports hot swap and redundant module pairing, widely used for DCS maintenance, spare parts replacement and system retrofit projects. Every FOXBORO FBM21 module passes factory testing and calibration before shipment.
