FOXBORO FBM204 is a mixed analog input and output fieldbus module of FOXBORO Compact 200 I/A Series DCS. It integrates 4 channels of 0-20mA analog input and 4 channels of 0-20mA analog output in one single card slot. The input channels collect 4-20mA signals from pressure, flow and level HART transmitters, while output channels generate 4-20mA control signals to drive valve positioners. Each channel adopts independent galvanic isolation and 16-bit sigma-delta ADC/DAC for high precision measurement and control. This module supports on-board DPIDA distributed PID control, which can execute fast control loops locally and reduce the load of FCP controller. The PCB is conformal coated to resist vibration, dust, humidity and electromagnetic interference in harsh industrial environments. It communicates over redundant 2Mbps fieldbus. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis detects loop break and abnormal signal status, triggers alarms so technicians can quickly troubleshoot instrument wiring faults. FBM204 supports hot swap and is widely used for DCS maintenance, spare parts replacement and system retrofit projects.
