Product Details:
FOXBORO FBM203C is an 8-channel galvanically isolated low-resistance RTD temperature input fieldbus module belonging to FOXBORO Compact 200 I/A Series DCS. It accepts 2-wire and 3-wire low-ohm RTD sensors with measurement range of 0~30Ω, equipped with higher excitation current for tiny resistance variation detection. Each channel adopts independent channel-to-channel isolation and 16-bit sigma-delta ADC to convert subtle resistance changes into accurate temperature data for FCP controller. The PCB is conformal coated to defend against vibration, dust, humidity and electromagnetic interference in harsh industrial environments. It communicates with the controller over redundant 2Mbps fieldbus. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis detects sensor open circuit and short circuit faults, triggers alarms so technicians can quickly locate temperature loop issues. FBM203C supports hot swap and is widely used for DCS maintenance, spare parts replacement and system retrofit projects. Every FOXBORO FBM203C module passes factory testing and calibration before shipment.

FBM203C is the low-ohm variant of FBM203 series, completely different from standard FBM203 (0~320Ω) and FBM203B (0~640Ω). Its higher excitation current is designed for low resistance copper RTD sensors, which produce very small resistance shift with temperature change. It excels at low temperature measurement for bearing and winding monitoring, where resistance variation is minimal. It is widely used for motor winding temperature monitoring and low-range thermal measurement in power plants, and can replace old low-ohm RTD input cards on legacy I/A DCS systems. Every FOXBORO FBM203C module passes factory testing and calibration to guarantee reliable process control performance.
