FOXBORO FBM17 is an 8-channel 24VDC discrete output fieldbus module for FOXBORO I/A Series DCS system. It provides solid-state switching signals to drive field solenoid valves, panel indicators and small relay coils. This module adopts galvanic channel isolation and conformal coated PCB, protecting electronic components from vibration, dust, humidity and electromagnetic interference in harsh industrial environments. It exchanges data with DCS controller over redundant HDLC fieldbus. Built-in continuous self-diagnosis tracks short circuit and load faults, triggers alarm for quick troubleshooting to reduce plant downtime. FBM17 supports hot swap and is widely used for DCS maintenance, spare parts replacement and system retrofit projects.
